MUSLIMAH SUMMIT 2.0: SISTERS CLAIM VICTORY OVER THE BROTHERS.

MUSLIMAH SUMMIT 2.0: SISTERS CLAIM VICTORY OVER THE BROTHERS.

As the sun started to bid the sky goodbye, the ambiance worn by OAU Central Mosque of Unity was that of a ‘Rising Phoenix’, as the hood was once again in the unusual excited state and mood. This was as a result of the curtain lifted on the great event, tagged Muslimah Summit 2.0, whose fragrance has promised to emboss never-ending refreshing memories on every delegate’s mind.

To this event that postures as a fanfare, inclined towards Islamic injunctions, sisters from various institutions have been seen trooping into the venue of this august event in their decent regalia before noon, while the programme officially kicked off at 4:30 pm.

As confirmed, the Summit is the second of its kind. Some sisters, who attended the previous one, had left us with beautiful comments, one of which is: “Muslimah Summit is a value-packed program; it brings sisters from different campuses together, strengthening sisterhood bonds.”

While some commented that Muslimah Summit 1.0 was a great hit, Muslimah Summit 2.0 promises to be a mega hit, as additional packages, such as Dinner night , have made their ways into the litany of agenda.

In an interview with our gallant reporter, Miss Hikmoh Aderibigbe , one of the Naibatul-Ameerahs, who also doubles as the Chairperson of the Summit, Miss Hussainat Sorunke, talked about the Summit, its targets, and expectations.

In her words, she said: “Different themes were suggested, and of all, ‘Rising Phoenix’ was chosen. Phoenix is a mythological animal that always rises with strength and power to become a beautiful version, so it’s an analogy to the sisters, telling them that it’s time they came out of their shells and became better versions of themselves.

She further stated: “In line with the Muslimah Summit Motto , ‘Strengthening the bond of sisterhood’, we are aiming to clear the misconceptions that sisters have amongst themselves which, most of the times, lead to segregation, discrimination, and whatnot. In a nutshell, this Summit aims at emphasizing the importance of unity among ourselves.

When asked about the special Dinner Night , she said: “We are just building on Muslimah Summit 1.0. It’s just a development we came about, and also, it’s to support the objectives of the Summit.”

On the flipside, in a news that appears funny, but looks like a barn full of grains of truth, we gathered that the Muslim brothers have been dragging, seducing, stifling, as well as resuscitating the unconscious attention of the Ameer towards having a similitude of the Muslimah Summit also for the brothers, too.

IS THIS JEALOUSY? The answer, however, lies with you!
