Hardship is Temporary

Hardship is defined as:
Phonologically – /hɑ:dʃɪp/
Dictionary-wise – Difficulty

To be in hardship means to be burdened or troubled.
Oftentimes, when people are faced with hardship and troubled with adversity, they feel it is the end of their world. All they can picture is their lives crumbling and becoming shattered. Many negative thoughts start to build mansions in a person’s mind.

Alas! Hardship is not the end of the world. In fact, it may be a way of putting someone back on track.

Oftentimes, we fail to do what is required when everything goes the other way than planned.

As Muslims, we are meant to be rest assured that hardship doesn’t last forever. Neither is it a punishment, but a test.

Yes, a test — a test from your Creator, Allāh Az-Zawajjal.

لاَ يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا
Allāh does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. (Q2: V286)

Go and know that Allah will not touch His slave with adversity unless He intends good for him.

Don’t let hardship tie you down. Brace up and ask for ease from your Lord. He promised to answer when you call upon Him.

In Surah Ash-Sharh, Allāh said: فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
“So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief.”

The above verse was repeated twice because there is ease after every hardship.

Face it and ask Allāh for ease.

BārakaLlāhu feekum.
