In preparation for the highly anticipated Jihad week, some enlivening settings have been seeing the light, lighting and melting the heart of every Muslim student, male and female.
One of such interesting and beautiful-to-watch settings is the mighty Ameer’s Cup , a football competition which, to all male Muslim students, is an avenue to showcase the dribbling dexterity that resides in their mighty feet.
Starting out on Monday, May 13, 2024, the competition dragged AFAMS and AMAS, two powerful elephants, to powerfully go against each other. And yes, as one would have expected, the shrubs on the FAJUYI HALL PITCH suffered.
As a saying goes: “It’s a series, you can’t watch it all.” The potency of this aphorism is not well-grounded. Who said it can’t all be watched? For every obstinate nut has a loose end. Well, I didn’t intend to put salt on the opened wound of our Art-ish folks, whose hearts were seriously broken like shards, like someone who just got served a heavy, hot breakfast; neither am I trying to add insult to their injury. But the match was undoubtedly a case of ‘bicycle meet trailer,” as brutality was inflicted on our beloved brothers from Faculty of Art (whose loss shall forever remain evergreen in our heartsđ).
Then let’s ask ourselves: Where’s BROTHERHOOD?
Why would our brothers from Faculty of Agriculture, in the quest to prove to the world that they are a group of all-rounders who are not only good in farming, but in every field that interests them, soiled the body of their skillful opponents and tainted the handsome face of the goal-lee with mud, thereby making seven (7) beautiful holes into the opponentsâsorry, enemies’âgoal post? While I await your response in the comment section, I would love to reiterate that it was a moment of several thrilling dribblings!
Verily, no one would want to miss good views at all. The competition poises to continue with each team promising to go all out on its opponent. And I am deadass sure you would not want another kick-off behind your back, would you?
This year’s JIHAD WEEK is still loading, and this is just a tip of the iceberg. So, don’t forget to bury your worries in a bottle of Coke or fanta and relish every beautiful moment the event promises to bring.
